Picking the special songs for your Wedding day can be an extremely difficult task for many couples. Finding the right place to start is tough with hundreds of thousands of song choices out there, how do you find the ‘one’ song to walk down the aisle, or to have your first dance to?
To make things a little easier for couples we have put together a list of the most requested Weddings songs by couples who we have DJ’ed for. This should be a great way to help get some ideas and options rolling around in your head, and maybe you will even fall in love with one of the songs on our list.
This is possibly the biggest song choice of the day for brides. It is important to think about the timing required for flower girls, bridesmaids and the bride to be to make it down the aisle, this is often something you can do at an early site visit at your venue, or will do with your celebrant at the Wedding rehearsal.
If you find a song that you absolutely fall in love with, but perhaps the instrumental intro needs to be longer, or you want to remove a certain verse from the song etc, remember that we offer custom edits of your walking down the aisle song with our Gold and Platinum Wedding DJ Packages.
We recommend couples to pick two songs for the singing of the registers as it can take anywhere between four and eight minutes to get all the paperwork done allowing for the couples signature, your witnesses and of course the celebrant.
Let’s celebrate, you are officially hitched! This is usually a high energy, good feeling kind of song. You can really choose anything but here are a few of the popular ones we have used recently.
You have now been away for usually about 90 minutes to do your Post Ceremony Wedding Photos with your bridal party and it’s time to made a big entrance as the MC welcomes you all to the reception venue.
Similar to the Walking Up the Aisle song this is usually high energy and good vibes to celebrate your arrival as a married couple.
You’ve had dinner, speeches are out of the way, and its time to cut your cake together as a couple. Its common for this not to be a big deal for some couples but it helps to have a few appropriate songs in mind for when you do.
Some couples cannot wait to share their first dance with the other half, where as others couldn’t think of anything worse than having all eyes on them as they shuffle around the room awkwardly with two left feet. Regardless of where in the scale you might sit, this is definitely one of the most important songs of the day.

We recommend that you put a ‘One song that will make me dance’ field on your guests RSVPs, this way our DJs get a great idea of the mix of music your guests will respond to, as well as the music that you do and don’t want to hear at your Wedding.
